As the demand for cooling in buildings is worldwide significantly more increasing than the demand for heating, even now enormous bottlenecks crop up already, which can be attributed to the demand for air conditioning. Here, absorption refrigerating machines and heating pumps, which at the same time are suitable for heating and cooling of buildings, are strategic research topics.
