By comparing parameters obtained with different models, the effective resistance of the rotor can be derived. Consequently, the actual rotor temperature can be calculated from material properties and the rotor resistance. This allows for monitoring of the thermal stress on the rotor in actual operation and changes in the thermal ambient conditions.
